Calgary is the largest city in the province of Alberta, Canada. Located in the southern portion of the province in a region of foothills and high plains, Calgary is about an hour’s drive east to the majestic Canadian Rocky Mountains, 3 hours to the American border and approx 10 hours to Vancouver.
Population:
With a population just over 1 million people, Calgary boasts the perfect balance between big city life, and the safety and friendliness of a smaller town. Calgary is one of Canada's fastest growing cities with lower than average crime rates and taxes.
Attractions:
The largest Canadian metropolitan area west of Toronto and east of Vancouver, Calgary was host to the 1988 Winter Olympics and is a popular destination for winter sports with a number of major mountain resorts near the city and metropolitan area.
Calgary also holds many major annual festivals including, The Calgary Stampede, the Folk Music Festival, The Summerstock Festival, The Lilac Festival, and the second largest Caribbean festival in the country (Carifest). In the summer months Calgary has a festival almost every weekend.
Economy:
Calgary's economy is largely centered on the petroleum industry, with construction, agriculture, tourism, and the high-tech industries also contributing to the city's continued economic growth.
Calgary’s conservative governance has attracted many international corporations and has the second highest concentration of head offices in Canada.
Weather:
Calgary is located at a fairly high elevation which results in a dry temperate climate. We enjoy relatively mild winters, a lot of sun and our most appreciated warm winter Chinook winds that bring spring temperatures to the region even in the coldest winter months.

Your dedication and hard work in helping us find the right house was overwhelming. You made sure we didn’t rush into anything that we may not like. You showed us all the different selections we had and then when we had decided you made sure it was what we really wanted. You’ve helped us make a perfect choice for our kids and our future. We owe all our thanks to you.
